Combining canyoning in Hrcavka Canyon with white water rafting on Tara River creates a three-day adventure that covers the full spectrum of what Bosnia and Herzegovina's wild rivers and canyons have to offer - technical descents, powerful rapids, hidden natural pools and canyon landscapes that stay with you long after you leave. Hrcavka Canyon sits deep inside Sutjeska National Park, one of Europe's most protected wilderness areas, and delivers a full canyon descent with verticals, waterslides, natural pools and jumps through one of the most dramatic gorges in the region. Tara River then closes out the adventure on one of the most celebrated rafting routes in Europe, running through the second deepest canyon in the world with over 20 rapids on an 18-kilometre route. Together, they are the best two-activity combination we offer.

This three-day arrangement combines two physically demanding activities on consecutive days and is designed for participants in good physical condition. The canyoning day involves verticals up to 10 metres, swimming sections, rope work and optional jumps, while the rafting day covers 18 kilometres of Tara River with rapids ranging from Class 2 to Class 4 depending on water levels. All equipment for both activities is provided. Canyoning equipment fitted at the Hrcavka canyon entrance includes a helmet, neoprene suit, alpine harness and special canyoning boots. Rafting equipment includes a helmet, life jacket, neoprene suit, neoprene boots and paddle. Full safety briefings are conducted before both activities by licensed and experienced guides. All rafting guides on Tara River are licensed by the International Rafting Federation. Canyoning guides are experienced canyon leaders with full knowledge of the Hrcavka route. Jumps on both the canyoning and rafting days are always optional and no participant is ever pressured to attempt any obstacle beyond their comfort level. Basic swimming ability is recommended for both activities. The arrangement is not recommended for participants with significant physical limitations. Participants must provide height, weight and shoe size in advance for equipment fitting on both days. Please inform your guide of any medical conditions before departure.

Rafting Tara River and canyoning Hrcavka Canyon are different enough to complement each other perfectly. The canyon demands focus, agility and nerve - you are moving against the rock face, reading the water from inside a narrow gorge, navigating obstacles one at a time. The river demands teamwork, rhythm and a willingness to let the current do some of the work, all while the Tara Canyon walls rise hundreds of metres above you. Together across three days, with an overnight at base camp between the two activities, this combination gives you the adrenaline of both worlds without rushing either one. The domestic food, the campfire evenings and the riverside setting at base camp Tara 87 tie the whole experience together in a way that makes this one of the most complete outdoor arrangements in the region.

Incredible place! The staff is so welcoming and professional. Located on Maglić mountain, it offers cozy pods and stunning views. Canyoning was a safe, thrilling adventure. Great food and cold beer at the end made it perfect. Highly recommend this mountain paradise for all!
Visiting this place was an incredible experience. We came for Hrčavka Canyon, and Branko made it all possible. He provided us with key info with true passion and knowledge. He understands the mountain spirit. I would highly recommend him for any outdoor activity. Thank you!
This place left us speechless! Cozy cabins with amazing views and comfy beds. The owners paid attention to every detail: clean showers, hammocks, and warm water. Food is delicious—the ajvar is a must try! Family-owned and super friendly, especially Maja. We’ll be back soon!
